The Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) is one of the world’s premier online Higher Education universities, now engaging more than 50,000 students. The UOC’s core goal is to promote innovative education, personalized learning, technological leadership, and R&D work on the information society and eLearning. The Gender & ICT research group (GenTIC), to which the staff involved in this project belongs, is part of the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. GenTIC has a long history in research concerning the role of gender stereotypes for study choices and selection of future professions. The group has a strong presence on the European level, having coordinated FP7 (GenPORT) and H2020 projects (GEDII and ACT) and participated in others (EFFORTi and CASPER). FUOC will be responsible for the dissemination and community building strategy of CASPER as well as collaborate in the stakeholder assessment and validation processes for the European award/certification schemes.
